1. the home is essentially fireproof

1395 Oak Creek Canyon Road was constructed with fire safety in mind. The roof has a fireproof membrane and all of the windows are laminated glass to prevent wind-driven pieces from crashing into the house. All of the exterior walls are concrete masonry units filled with cement and rebar along with steel mesh between each layer. Lastly, the air intakes for the HVAC units are all controlled with smoke detectors that close when smoke is present.

Villa Bella Vista’s seven fireplaces were carved in Pietrasanta, Italy by sculptor, Massimo Galleni. Galleni’s fireplaces are unique pieces, manufactured entirely by hand, using traditional methods and tools.

3. the wine cellar

A robust 900+ bottle wine room is guarded by doors sourced from elevators within the famed Hotel George V in Paris. An art-deco landmark built in 1928, Four Seasons Hotel George V is nestled in the Golden Triangle of Paris, just off the historic Champs-Elysees.

4. extraordinary efforts were taken to conceal infrastructure

The home’s integrated sound system consists of hidden speakers in the living room, library, family room, and the primary bath & closet. This allows the unmatched details of the Italian design to radiate luxury, sophistication, and authenticity throughout the home.

Interior paintings and plasterwork were completed by LA artist, Darren Franks. The library ceiling features an Italian tapestry that was first painted on canvas and then attached. The ocean-view loggia and the primary bathroom display Italian grotesques on vaulted ceilings. And, the dining room ceiling has a copy of the 16th-century mural “Zeus and Europa”.
